Vissa tryck kallas för distressed, det betyder att de i sin design med flit gjorts att se slitna ut på olika sätt. Det är ett estetiskt val som gjorts, inget fel på trycket alltså. I bland görs tryck också utan det greppet och kallas då för Clean i stället. Ofta syns det vid blotta ögat andra gånger mer subtilt men alltid medvetet..
